Skiing
The Ski area 'Dorf' (1166 to 1690 m above sea level) offers mostly easy to moderate, wide pistes for skiers, carvers and snowboarders. The Hundsknubel invites you to the demanding skiing. A cable car, two chair lifts and eleven ski lifts transport the skiers comfortably to the mountain. Through various opportunities to enter the winter sports area there are hardly waitingtimes at the lifts.
From the Brienzer Rothorn ski area (2'350 m above sea level) you have breathtaking views of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. You will be spoiled with demanding slopes and a
incomparable descent. The cable car takes you comfortably to the Brienzer Rothorn. A chair- and a ski lift transport the skiers at the start of the slopes in the ski region Eisee.
Cross-country skiing
On the Lopien in Salwideli, your cross-country skiing dreams can come true. A unique panorama accompanies you on your route. 24 km of groomed trails are available (classic and skating). The Panorama Trail is one of the most beautiful and diverse trails far and wide. The Dorfloipe in Sörenberg offers 8 km of groomed trails (classic and skating). The entrances are located at the Sörenberg Platz car park and the valley station of the Brienzer Rothorn cable car. This trail has little ascents and descents, and is therefore particularly suitable for beginners.
Snowshoeing & Winter hiking
Snow-covered landscapes, boundless expanses, deep breaths and being surrounded by nature - which means snowshoeing or winter hiking in the UNESCO Entlebuch biosphere.
